The department of computer science offers following courses based on Entrance tests conducted by Panjab University:

 Candidate should have obtained from the University the Master’s degree in the first or second class.
2 M. Sc.(H.S)Computer Science 15 (to be promoted from B. Sc. (HS) Computer Sci.-3rd year or actual promoted.) +10+(2** only for NRI. i.e. 15% of the sanctioned seats) 2 years (Annual system) BCA/B.SC.(H.S) Computer Science /B.Tech. / B.E.(Computer Science/ Engineering) or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto. Admission based on Common Entrance Test conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh.
3# M.C.A. 30+ 2*+(5** only for NRI, i.e. 15% of the sanctioned seats) 3 years (Semester system) The minimum qualification for admission to the first year of the course shall:
(i) A recognized first degree of minimum three year’s duration any discipline with at least 50% marks and with Mathematics at 10+2 or at graduation level (all three years):
OR
(ii) B.C.A. from Panjab University with 50% marks
OR
(iii) Any examination recogzined by the Panjab University, Chandigrh as equivalent to any of the above examination (i) or (ii)
The admission is based on Entrance Test conducted by Panjab University, Chandigarh.
4 M.C.A. (Evening) Self-financing Course.
(Subject to final approval of higher authority of P.U. Chd.)		 40+ 2*+(6** only for NRI i.e.15% of the sanctioned seats)
(Subject to final approval of higher authority of P.U. Chd.)		 3 years (Semester system)
* For candidates who have studied Computer as one of the subject for three years/or that subject as a full course at the under graduate level
** The BOC committee unanimously decided that regarding the mention of NRI seats the decision of the University as applicable to all other departments may be implemented.
